We believe God has called all of us to use our gifts in service to Him. Many serve within the church, some serve in our community and others choose to serve our world. We encourage you to find where you best fit to serve!
Serve at Pritchard
We know that we will not succeed without the efforts of those who call Pritchard home, and we seek to provide as many volunteer opportunities as we can for our members. We encourage you to discover how rewarding service with our church can be.

Children & Youth Ministries
The children and youth ministries are always looking for new volunteers to help with Sunday programming (9:00AM - 10:15AM), Worship Care (10:30AM-11:45AM) and other special events throughout the year.
Worship and Music Ministry
Biblical, Christ-centered worship is central to the life of our church, and music is a key element in our worship service. We describe our worship as celebrative and inclusive of a variety of musical styles. We offer choirs for all ages, as well as opportunities for instrumentalists through our orchestra, praise band and handbell choir.
Knit Wits
The Knit Wits is Pritchard’s prayer shawl ministry. This group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm in the Prayer Room of the Fletcher Building. During their meetings, the Knit Wits work on shawls that are knitted or crocheted with love and prayers for those who will receive these special gifts. Once the shawls are complete the members of our congregation may request that they be sent to family members and loved ones in the hospital or hospice, those who will undergo surgery or treatment, those who are homebound, or those who simply need to be surrounded with love. The Knit Wits hope that these shawls will be used to envelope their recipients with the prayers of their loved ones.
Serve the community
The members of Pritchard at South End partner with various organizations throughout our community by giving of their time and resources to ensure that the needs of our neighbors are met. Here is a list of a few of the organizations we support.

Crisis Assistance Ministry
Crisis Assistance Ministry serves the low-income citizens of Mecklenburg County. These individuals are facing financial emergencies and are struggling to meet life’s basic needs. Their situations often force them to make very difficult choices. Part of Pritchard’s annual mission budget goes to support Crisis Assistance and those whom they serve.
Crop Walk
Each fall, our church takes part in the annual Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk to raise awareness and funds to support efforts throughout our city and our country to combat issues contributing to hunger.
Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte
Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte is a non-profit, non-denominational, non-political organization that is committed to providing compassion, information and support to anyone facing the challenge of unintended pregnancy.
serve the world
Pritchard at South End is deeply committed to the mission of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Each year we send members of our church on international mission trips to partner in working with various organizations to ensure that the love of Christ is shared in word and deed in all corners of the earth.
In the last two years we have sent teams to different parts of North Carolina and throughout the United States to work for community relief in the wake of natural disasters. We have also sent two teams to build shelters in Haiti. Most recently, we sent 35 missionaries to Honduras to work with the children and staff of the New Life Children’s Home in Jalaca. Our passion for missions certainly drives what we say and do.
In addition to sending teams to do hands-on ministry, we also contribute financially through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist Convention to support their missionaries stationed throughout the world.

Operation Christmas Child
Each Christmas our church participates with Operation Christmas Child to provide shoeboxes filled with gifts for children who would otherwise go without presents each year. Not only are we able to provide toys and school supplies, we are also able to share the love of Christ in very unique ways.
Samaritan's Feet
Samaritan’s Feet is a community of more than 70,000 volunteers that have joined together to make a difference in the lives of children in need in every corner of the world. They have touched the lives of millions who would otherwise go without shoes each day.
